A very concise foreword
I am Deputy Headteacher at Princethorpe Junior School and have put this brief history of Weoley Castle together for two main reasons.
Firstly, pupils at our school study their local area in history and geography and need a simplified source of information to access.
Secondly, I know from experience that when I move into an area I am curious about it's history but I don't want to delve into reams of information.
So, I have produced what I hope is a potted version of a very complicated story. If you want to learn more there is a wealth of detailed information available, just ask your librarian.
And finally. I have delved into a variety of material and if I have plagiarised anyone or infringed copyright I humbly apologise. I also apologise for any omissions or errors. This is not intended as a scholarly work.
